Introduction

Océ enables its customers to manage their documents efficiently and effectively by offering innovative print and document management products and services for professional environments.

Globally several thousand Océ field service engineers and sales employees need access to centrally managed applications. These mobile workers log-in from their home but also from customer or public locations to gain access to these applications. Due to the high frequency of contacts to these applications it is vital that the complete logon process is fast and user friendly.

Solution

With the TrustAlert solution Océ’s mobile workers use their existing identity and authentication details to retrieve a digital certificate. This certificate provides an unified digital identity that is stored on their portable systems. This unified identity is valid for the period they are connected and delivers the required security.

In order to provide secure data- and transaction integrity Océ uses F5 Networks Firepass SSL-VPN technology combined with the TrustAlert PKI. The F5 Firepass has native support for digital client certificates and allows secure access with the flexibility and security delivered via TrustAlert’s PKI solution.

TrustAlert’s solutions seamlessly integrate with existing IT environments, reducing maintenance, implementation and operational impact to a minimum, while at the same time increasing security.
