The TrustAlert management team has a lot of experience in building start-up's and developing them into successfully operating companies, and decades of experience in the development and management of innovative technological solutions for large-scale projects in complex environments.

 

Marco Sonnega (1962), co-founder, Chief Operations Officer

Comes to the company from PinkRoccade where he worked as Director for the Managed Network Service unit and the business unit Trusted Services. During his time at PinkRoccade he built the company's industry-leading market position in managed PKI infrastructures and services.

Marco also held a position as Director of TrioNet, a consortium formed by PinkRoccade, KPN and Getronics, providing data communication and network security services to Dutch governmental departments.

At TrustAlert Marco is responsible for the daily operations and research and development.

 

Sten Kalenda (1955), co-founder, Chief Technical Officer

Comes to the company from PinkRoccade where he served for over 20 years; at PinkRoccade he founded and managed the PinkRoccade Internet Security Group (RISC). Apart from managing the RISC team Sten's responsibilities at PinkRoccade included the design and implementation of high secure network environments for major PKI applications.

Sten is one of the top security specialists in Europe, and he continuously spreads his vast knowledge through instructing security classes, post MBA master classes and as a speaker at high level security events.

At TrustAlert Sten is involved in all technical matters, creative design, and serves as the 'author intellectualis' of its intellectual property.

 

Michael Knagenhjelm (1948), Strategy Director

Was educated in England at secondary and university level, completed with a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics.

After a ten year career in Investment Banking and Asset Management, he started his first company in 1980 to pursue opportunities arising from the early development of networking technologies that evolved into the Internet. His second company became a market leader in integrating computer systems with the global telex network. It was actively involved with electronic messaging and directory services, pioneering the concept of directory services as a strategic technology for data harmonization in large companies.

At TrustAlert Michael is responsible for Strategy.
